Somerset Open Studios returned for 2023! It was the biennial opportunity for SAW Artist Members to open their studio doors to allow a glimpse into often-private spaces and workshops, alongside pop up venues, where audiences could meet the artist, see work in progress and visit the creative source.

Somerset Art Weeks alternates each autumn between Open Studios and Exhibitions + Events. After the return of the Art Weeks guide in 2022, Somerset Open Studios 2023 featured artist studios, workshops and activities, including Family Friendly Weekends.

On this page you’ll find everything you need to navigate your way around all that Open Studios 2023 had to offer.

As well as our traditional printed guide, you could also access everything you need to enjoy the event digitally, via the links below. Guides were distributed across the county and beyond in a huge selection of cultural venues, including libraries, galleries, museums and tourist visitor centres.

FAMILY FRIENDLY WEEKENDS

Art is for everyone, and we’re passionate about the value of intergenerational creativity here at Somerset Art Works- to encourage this, every weekend of Open Studios 2023 is Family Friendly!
