Richard Pomeroy – Chair
Richard is a practicing artist who lives in Bruton. He was brought up in Somerset, and worked for twenty years in the contemporary art world in London, before returning to his roots painting full time.
Pauline has combined working as a free-lance ceramic artist and a career in education for over 30 years. She co-founded the Dove Centre, Butleigh, providing practicing artists with studio spaces, a gallery and shop, offering a broad programme of art and craft courses to the public.
Tim Martin is a practicing artist who lives in Devon. He is a visual arts coordinator in the Devon/Somerset area working on a variety of projects. He is Curator of the new contemporary art gallery at Hestercombe House.
Jan’s background is textile design, founding Chi-Chi Moi in 2005 (www.chichimoi.co.uk) creating handmade, mainly knit and crochet fashion and home accessories.
Liz Clay lives near Wells. Her studio-based practice specialises in couture felt production for fashion and interiors. Author and teacher, Liz travels widely, exhibiting in the UK and internationally. Her work is held in the collections of the crafts Council, Givenchy and Balenciaga.
Louise has lived and worked in Somerset for 13 years. Her professional experience is centred around learning and participation in the arts and she has worked for a variety of arts organisations including Black Swan Arts and Bath Festivals and is currently Director of Business at 5x5x5=creativity.
Melita is director of a cultural consultancy (www.melitaarmitage.com), specializing in evaluation, research, community engagement and fundraising. She works with large and small cultural organisations, local authorities, charities and social enterprises.
