My practice has evolved over the years from the first screen prints created for fashion to small editions of prints and individual pieces. I am predominately a printmaker exploring Silk Screen and Risograph, which is a vintage Japanese machine. These processes allow me to layer up colour and individual motifs. My work is inspired by the fabulous landscape around me at the foot of King Alfreds tower looking onto Selwood Forest near Bruton. Natural structures and abstracted shape are a recurring theme in my work. I am also an avid people watcher, observing the everyday, the ordinary, I’m fascinated by this and continually sketch when I am out and about. Colour and graphic line are elements I enjoy and also feature in most editions. Vibrant use of colour definitely defines my work weather printing or sketching. The juxtaposition of a neon pallet brings me joy.
