Annabel Gaitskell Anderson

I studied at the Ruskin School of Art in Oxford and in Barcelona where I lived for many years, enjoying the wonderful art this great city has to offer.

Living in Somerset has provided a beautiful and unique landscape from which to draw inspiration. The rich colours and patchwork of fields and hills are the backdrop for my work. My paintings show my own vision of the surrounding countryside with emphasis on shape and colour rather than detail.

I use a range of materials including oils, acrylics, pastels and inks. My work also includes still life, drawings, abstracts using mixed media and more recently collages.

I have taken part in SAW Open Studios since 2008 as well as many local exhibitions.
