Andrea Oke

Andrea Oke is a muliti-disciplinary artist whose work is linked to storytelling and the preservation of memories.

Andrea graduated from the University of the West of England with a First Class Honours Degree in Drawing and Applied Arts (2014) and has received several awards including the Helsinki Drawing Laboratory, Aalto University, Helsinki (2013), Somerset Art Works Emerging Artist Bursary (2014), Artist in Residence at Axbridge Museum as part of Muse:Makers in Museums project (2017) and Artist in Residence at Halsway Manor, the National Folk Centre, in Somerset (2018).

In 2019 Andrea’s latest shadow animation’The Last Potters’, commissioned by The South West Heritage Trust, was shown at The Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury.

Andrea regularly teaches workshops for schools and local art groups in a wide range of topics ranging from the theory of drawing to shadow puppetry. For more information please contact Andrea direct.
