Somerset Art Weeks Participants – Does your venue have an offer for the Somerset Art Weeks Family Friendly Weekend Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October 2019?

We are collecting listings information, Deadline 20 May.

Activities you could offer might include: demonstrations, have-a-go sessions, workshops, activities and events.

Why a Family Friendly Focus?

Somerset Art Works wants to increase the amount of cultural provision for families and to highlight the opportunities that are available to them. Early engagement with arts and culture shapes habits for a lifetime and builds support for arts and culture in the future. Families come in all shapes and sizes, spanning all ages and abilities. As well as children and young people we are also interested in older people in the context of family, how art and culture brings generations together, offering things to do together, to create together, and to remember together.

*Parents/carers must stay and take responsibility for children/ young people at all times during workshops/activities

SAW will promote the 2019 Family Friendly Weekend through a special insert in the Guide, on our website plus local press and social media, linking to national initiative The Big Draw http://www.thebigdraw.org/
