Taunton Live Festival
Taunton Live Arts Festival is taking place on Castle Green in Taunton from 24th-30th July 2017 as well as around the town in various venues showcasing exhibitions, workshops and Adopt an Artist at various shops. 2017 is the Chinese year of the Fire Rooster and the 70th anniversary of independence for India: Taunton Live Arts Festival will be celebrating, mingling and theming events to celebrate the rich diversity of different cultures living in our multi-cultural county of Somerset.
Celebrating all genres of the Arts in all its wonderful forms, including traditional Indian weaving seen alongside Somerset withy basket work; line-dancers will come face to face with Palestinian stick dancers; clog dancers will mingle with belly dancers this festival will explore the rich variety of culture and creativity available in Somerset and the South West. There will be sculpture, poetry, music, dancing, theatre, artists sketching and making outdoors and much much more over this week long festival for the creative arts.
