The Chandos Society of Artists
The Chandos Society of Artists was founded in 1962 and today’s members are a highly regarded group of artists.
The exhibition for this year’s Somerset Art Weeks explores the theme of ‘Prospect’ in many of the genres: oil, watercolour, acrylic, textiles, photography, glass and mosaic.
Eleven members are displaying their talents in the historic and elegant surroundings of the newly refurbished gallery in the Bridgwater Arts Centre.
The Preview, to which all SAW members are invited, is on Thursday 28th September from 5pm and it will be an opportunity to discuss the art with the artists present, to enjoy the refreshments and, if you can stay a little longer, in the Art Centre’s Backroom Bar Bob Hutchings and friends will be playing some cool jazz.
