Prospect
Prospect was Somerset Art Works’ programme between 2017 – 2018. Following the momentum of our creative programme 2015-17, 'Prospect' aimed to provide continuing opportunities for artists and audiences throughout Somerset. There were a range of partnership projects, new commissions and opportunities in different locations and venues.
Exciting plans followed the successful bid for Arts Council Lottery funding for the ‘Prospect’ commissioning programme for 2017. Featuring special projects, exhibitions, workshops and bursaries, it included new art commissions by established and emerging artists, with a host of respected curators, all in special places unique to Somerset. Celebrated alongside these was an innovative programme of vibrant events over three weekends during Somerset Art Weeks Festival 2017 on the theme of Contemporary Craft, Film and Family.
All was commissioned by Somerset Art Works, and with a wide range of partners, without whom, and their generous support, none of this would be possible.
