June Dobson
Born into farming and living in the beautiful Blackdown Hills on our family farm I have developed a passion for our stunning countryside where we live and it is this that I try to project into my ceramics. Hedgerow flowers adorn bread crocks and cannisters in soft summer faded tones that reflect gentle movement within our hedgerows all finished with English walnut lids.
Autumn leaves reflects my passion for colour and a love of Autumn, when the leaves are falling and the colours are at their most vivid this is what I try to capture in my ceramics. Clocks with glass added, give extra vibrancy and luminosity and a delicate crackle effect. Unique leaf bowls and cannisters are available, again finsished with English walnut lids.
Recently I have been experimenting making Hares, something I am very keen on but sadly rarely see one these days. My hares are very individual and all have their own characteristics and are all finished with a crackle glaze .
