Makers & Tools show at Clayhill Arts

Makers & Tools is a collaborative making project exploring the relationship between makers and their tools.

The project connects six emerging craft makers, who undertook a non-verbal conversation through an exchange of objects.

The exhibition and event hopes to open up the conversation to a wider audience and asks ’What happens if a maker doesn’t choose her tools? What if she is gifted a tool crafted by another maker? What effect does this seemingly benign intervention have on her making process, and what possibilities does this allow?’

Makers & Tools is an ongoing project coordinated by Melody Vaughan. More details can be found on the project’s website: makersandtoolsproject.uk

Join us for a Q&A with the makers on Friday 6th October from 7pm-9pm at Clayhill Arts
Clayhill Farm, Charlynch Lane, Bridgwater, TA5 2PH
