Inland Festival is an event that takes place in the Cornish town of Redruth every two years and this weekend, October 22nd – October 23rd 2016, Redruth opens its town to the creative arts for a weekend of exciting, experimental, insightful and delightful exhibitions and performances. Once considered one of the richest areas of the world during its heyday, the mining town has experienced many changes during its post-industrial life.
CMR, an artist-led space brings members together to produce an exhibition exploring the prospects of a new creative future, not only for CMR, but also for Redruth. The exhibition Prospect is curated by Merryn Trsidder and explores Redruth’s and Cornwall’s new direction in the arts and importasnce of the arts to the region, the country and the future of Britain in our post-industrial and post-digital age.
The exhibition includes works from: Antonio de la Hera presents, Alicja Rymarowicz, Owen Lacey, Clive Soord, Tim Pryke, Ron Ford, Mary Fletcher, Adam Grose, David Astell & Jonathan Hayter. A private view will be happening on Friday 21st October from 7pm.
